On an earlier question about celebrities getting away with crimes or getting joke sentences. Most peoples answers were because they have money and the middle class or average american doesnt', that's why celebs can get away with a joke sentence for a crime and the average american go to prison for the same crime. So my question is, what are we as average americans, the majority, doing to stop this injustice?

Some people, such as yourself, are creating awareness of the issue. That is at least one thing the average American can be (and is) doing in the fight against injustice.

I would advocate the following:

Stop paying taxes. At the very least, recognize that our own money is being used against us.

As for the second question, try stop paying your taxes, see what happens. This is why people pay the taxes, and accept the injustice.

I don't think that celebrities are getting lighter sentences sheerly because they have money. Having money doesn't convince the average judge to lighten your sentence. The reason why celebrities get lighter sentences is because they have the money to higher a good lawyer. You'd be amazed at what a good lawyer can do.

But, as far as your question goes, the only way to stop wealthy individuals from highering good lawyers is to take their money away. That would be communism and most people in the US are opposed to that.

Nothing. I'm not sure that there is anything we can do. We can make all kinds of laws but if there is no one willing to enforce them they don't mean anything.
