Picking a name is SO not as easy as you'd think. How about:
1. Names from a few generations ago, like names our great- grandmothers had.
2. Think about actresses from TV and movies, their real names or the name they have/had for that show.
Use your imagination. Think of all the people you know and perhaps use a particular name but with just a bit of a change like Helen, instead use Alena.
Some other suggestions I've heard/know/like:
Davia, Giaovanna, Crystal, Willow, Star, Trinity, Corrina.
Good luck picking a name, and early congratulations to you!!!

The only Mariah I know is Mariah Carey, so it's still an unusual name. I like the name because of a song from the musical "Paint Your Wagon", the song was by the Kingston Trio:
Away out here they've got a name for rain and wind and fire. The rain is Tess, the fire's Joe. They call the wind Mariah.
Mariah blows the stars around and sets the clouds a-flyin'. Mariah makes the mountains sound like folks was out there dyin'.
Mariah. Mariah. They call the wind Mariah.
Before I knew Mariah's name and heard her wail and whinin', I had a gal. She had me and the sun was always shinin'.
But then one day I left my gal. I left her far behind me and now I'm lost, so gol' darn lost not even God can find me.
Mariah. Mariah. They call the wind Mariah.
Out here they have a name for rain and wind and fire only. When you're lost and all alone, there ain't no name for lonely.
And I'm a lost and lonely man without a star to guide me. Mariah blow my love to me. I need my gal beside me.
Mariah. Mariah. They call the wind Mariah. Mariah! Mariah. They call the wind Mariah.

I am curious as to why you want an "unusual" name for your daughter. My sons all have traditional names. A lot of people give their kids cutsey names. Whatever you decide, remember that the child will grow up one day and get a proffessional job. I don't know that I would hire a doctor or lawyer named Buffy or Biffy.
