"Do you like my avatar". I've been doing this answer thing about 3 weeks now and i"ve seen that same question at least 20 times. Is it because you just cant think of a real question or maybe you just want to give up 5 points. Please , I'm baffled.

When ppl consistently ask stupid questions over and over to the point where it pisses me off, I just give stupid answers that i hope will do the same to them.
Becuz I beleive that when life throws you lemons,
you throw them right back and add a few of your own.

A lot of questions on here are similar to that. It's annoying, yes, but remember these are really insecure people, or they're just looking for some attention. Don't give it to them by answering their questions. I think it's fine if it's a real picture, but an Avatar's an Avatar no matter what way you look at it. People don't look like cartoons.

Maybe because some people are so bored with their lives and that their lives are so mundane that they live vicariously through their avatars. The feel they are ugly and uninteresting so they create these avatars to make themselves feel better and get noticed. Maybe they want to win some kind of contest. Maybe they are just trying to annoy someone and by you putting up this question they realize that they have succeeded. Take care.

It is a way for them to fish for compliments, I suppose. When you choose a best answer, you get back 3 points, so I guess it's a two point sacrifice to get people's compliments and/or feedback. Also to find out who likes cartoons, and who doesn't care. And who feels the same as you. I like to browse the different topics, and there are so many questions that the ones that bother me more would definitely be spammers and obscene ones.

As someone else pointed out, maybe they put a lot of time into making their avatar. Also, maybe they like getting their questions deleted. Questions like that are removed now.

Well it's just people who would like you and other's opinions on how there avatars look. If it's lame or good or whatever. Bottom line is, if you don't like the question then skip it and answer another one.

Its because they are silly and young and have nothing better to do than waste our time -
But they also probably dont realize they LOSE 5 points every time they ask a question - you o nly add points by answering!

Asking a question like that is actually against community guidelines, but the Answers team doesn't seem to be enforcing them.
