The SI is the system of units usually called metric. SI denotes Système International d'Unités, i.e. the International System of Units, which is regulated by the International Standards Organisation (ISO). All the main countries in the world have signed up to the SI system. The US & UK are delinquent in not keeping to their agreement.
The imperial systems include avoirdupois for weights, and many other weird historical systems. A comprehensive list of units and their conversion factors to SI is available on www.sizes.com.

Metric are things like grams; litres; metres; etc.

Imperial are things like ounces; pints; yards and etc.

Decimal is almost uniformly used for currency, i.e. money; 100 cents or pennies etc to the Euro or Dollar or Pound.

These are the types of units you will find in every day life but there are many other sacales of measurement out there.
