The angle of elevation means that it's the angle that starts left to right and opens up. ( like <)

Tan 67 = opp/adj

Tan 67 = x/ 50

x = 50Tan 67

whatever that is

Draw a vertical line representing the tower; label it "x" (this is the unknown that we are seeking. Draw a horizontal line from the bottom, extending to the right. (The direction doesn't matter, but since I can't draw here, I'm trying to keep our drawings looking the same.) Label this 50 m, since that is how far from the base of the tower the person is standing. Draw the hypotenuse (from the top of the vertical line to the right end of the horizontal line.)

The angle of elevation is the angle at the lower right corner of the triangle as we have it drawn. This is the angle, measured from the horizontal, that a person would "look up" to see the top of the tower. So that is where the 67 degree angle is located.

Now look at the drawing. You have a 67 degree angle, you know the adjacent side, and you are looking for the opposite side. The tangent function deals with the adjacent and opposite, so we will use that.

tan 67 = x/50
x = 50 tan 67 (multiply both sides by 50)
x = 117.8 (I'm not sure how many decimal places you need)

The distance 50 m , from the bottom of tower to you, can be considered the "adjacent" leg of a right triangle, the tower and ground form a 90 degree angle, and 67 degrees the angle of interest.
The height of the tower, however is considered the "opposite" leg of the triangle (because it is the side opposite to the angle, not the one adjacent to it)

In right triangles, tan (angle) = opposite / adjacent

tan(67 degrees) = height of tower / 50 m
height of tower = 50 tan(67) meters

you may use the tangent of sixty seven stages that's 2.3559. The tangent = the different/ adjacent so all of us comprehend that 2.3559= the top of the tower/50 so 50 x 2.3559 = the top of the tower so 117.795 = the top of the tower
