Led Zep and AC/DC!!! No contest...

Good battle! However, I would say that AC/DC is not one of the top four bands of all time - you could make a case for Metallica, Eagles, Beach Boys, The Who, Pink Floyd and several others.

But a battle between these four bands - 1. Songwriting - Beatles and Stones win hands down. Lennon/McCartney are probably the greatest songwriting team in Rock music history, and their songs will be performed forever and ever. You look at a list of their songs - it is a list of Rock/pop music's best - Yesterday (the most recorded song of all time), Hey Jude, Help, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Something, Here Comes The Sun, Come Together - Not just great rock songs, but great songs period.Their songs have been covered by more different artists then any other rock group. As for the Stones, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are not too shabby. From Satisfaction to You Cant Always Get What you Want to Brown Sugar to Ruby Tuesday - some terrific songs.
Now Zeppelin certainly wrote some great songs as well - Kashmir, Whole Lotta Love, Stairway to Heaven - but to be honest, their strength was in their sound and powerful performance. AC/DC great band - not that great of song writer. ADVANTAGE: Beatles/Stones.

2. Albums - What can you say about the Beatles that hasn't been said a million times? The Beatles broke through all barriers. Sgt. Pepper was a cultural and musical breakthrough, Abbey Road is an amazing musical masterpiece that decided there was no limits to what could be done. Thanks to the influence of George Martin, the Beatles weren't afraid to rock hard, bring in classical influence, gospel sound (check out Got To Get You into my Life), drug influence, love song, comedy, - showing that there really are no rules for Rock music - which is what rock and roll is all about.
I dont want to shortchange Zeppelin and the Stones - both made some terrific albums, and Back in Black is a fun album. But when it comes to the album, the Beatles rule hands down. ADVANTAGE: Beatles/Stones

2. Live Performers - Well, the Roling Stones are the greatest Live Rock and Roll Band in history. Period. There's a reason they are almost always the number one or two touring act each year - Jagger is one of a kind.
Unfortunately, this is where the Beatles let down. Early on they were a pretty good live band, but by their US tour, audiences screamed so loud, that no one really could hear their performance - and by 66 their best stuff was captured in their studio recordings.
This is where Zeppelin and AC/DC get the Nod. Robert Plant might be the most influential Rock Singer since Elvis Presley, Jimmy Page is one of the greatest guitarist, and Bonham was an amazing drummer. AC/DC is the definition of Balls to the Walls power band, and Angus Young definitely makes an impression. ADVANTAGE: Zeppelin - AC/DC.

Record Sales - Zeppelin did sell a lot of albums, but the Beatles have more number one hits and top 40 hits then anyone except Elvis Presley, and the Stones had so many albums their sales are pretty astronomical. AC/DC not in the top 10 in sales - ADVANTAGE - Beatles/Stones.

WINNER - Beatles/Stones.
Although Led Zeppelin is one of Rock's Icons (certainly the inspiration for heavy metal), and AC/DC is a great hard rock band - we're talking about The Beatles and the Rolling Stones!

Considering the Beatles are my favorite band and Led Zeppelin is like my 4th favorite band, and AC/DC and The Stones come in my top 20. The Beatles and the Stones.

Beatles and Rolling Stones would win - there music is better and they have a larger fan base than led zeppelin or ac/dc.

In a fight id go with Zep and ACDC, in a battle of the bands id go with the beatles and stones. ACDC is just outclassed by all three bands, i mean all their songs are basically the same.

In a fight it would be Led and AC/DC coming out on top, in a battle of the pands..popular vote would be the Beatles, but my vote would be for Led Zepplin

ac dc could take the other three all alone as long aas zepplin wasn't allowed to used a frozen mackerel. Half of the beattles are dead and the stones are half dead. give it to zepplin and ac dc in both the street fight and the musical performance
