Blockage of air flow from the freezer to the fridge. Check to see if it is blocked by ice, which could mean a clogged drian or a bad defrost heater or timer. Make sure the vent in the fridge is not blocked by containers, bottles, etc. Even check for styrofoam that may have been it the vent from when it was shipped, make sure it is out. If the freezer is staying frozen, it is not an iced up evap coil, because that would cause the freezer to get warm, too.

the fridge and freezer are two seperate compartments set for different cooling temperatures. Taken that in case, you might need to alter the cooling temp for the fridge (though it will cost you more power, and increase the frions in the air). Or more likely the fridge compartment's system is on the fritz. Also, if you are comparing the two for too long of a time, the fridge will certainly think that the fridge is cooler than what it really is.

Now what you need to do is contact the brand for the type of fridge, with it's make and model. Then they should give you the maximum temp that food could be cooled in it. If it is a newer model you might need a repair man

good luck

Unless you have a very fancy fridge, there is an air passage between the fridge and the freezer that can get blocked up with ice. Defrost the freezer (clean the ice out) and you should be ok.

check to see if the back of the freezer has frost all over the inside back wall... Either your fan has stopped or the defrost heater had quit working

Ice has formed on the refrigerated coils, blocking air flow.

Un-plug for a few hours.

Eat the ice cream now
