substitute (3+h) for x and write it out:

x^2 becomes (3+h)^2, which is 9 + 6h + h^2
3x becomes 3(3+h), which is 9+3h

9 + 6h + h^2 - 9 - 3h
h^2 + 3h is the result

Start by replacing every "x" with a "3 + h"

k(3+h) = (3+h)^2 - 3(3 + h)
=(9 + 6h + h^2) - 9 - 3h
=9 - 9 + 6h -3h + h^2
=h^2 + 3h

If k(x)=x^2-3x then k = x-3
Then substitute x-3 for k like this
(x-3)(3+h) this is one possible answer, or you could multiply this through and get...
3x + xh - 9 - 3h this is an answer too.
