Well I've been diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder. I have had depression off and on since I was 12 and it seems to get worse every time. I would always go through the process of getting therapy and getting on meds then once I felt better I would stop. Unfortunately the depression always came back. Right now I'm not in therapy and not on meds and this is the time of year where I usually start slipping back into depression. Luckily it hasn't happened but I fear it might. My moods go up and down a lot but I just have to force myself to stay positive. I have found that in the beginning you have a choice on whether the horrible blackness sucks you in but once your there its soooo hard to get out. I try to prevent myself from getting sucked in by pushing those negative thoughts away. I also try to get exercise and I want to get into a hobby or start volunteering. Please stay positive it makes all the difference in the world and I sincerely hope you don't sink back into your black. Good luck and remember you are not alone!

This is odd, I have answered a couple of your questions but I can not make fun of you for this one. I am not bi-polar but I do suffer from depression. The Army diagnosed my with shellshock earlier this year and discharged me with a medal. I go through some really bad days and horrible dreams. There really isnt anything that I have found to prevent it but I would like to talk to you about it more. e-mail me at slatty_7@yahoo.com

I have been diagnosed with bi-polar Not Otherwise Specified and I've been treated. Trust me, it's hard at first, but it gets easier as time goes by.
