Earth would be in pretty sorry shape if Jesus had not come to save us from our sins. Jesus was 100 percent God and 100 percent human. In spite of being human, he was able to resist evil and maintain a perfect life--which no one else has been or will be able to do. Because He did that, He became the perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins. He paid the price of our sins for us--so if we believe and accept Him, we will have eternal life.
Someone said that there is no evidence that Jesus really existed--but that is simply not so. If the issue were in a court of law, there is enough evidence to put someone to death on the weight of it. Over 500 people saw him at one time after his resurrection, and it only takes the evidence of one person to put someone to death. He appeared first to Mary Magdalene (who was NOT his wife!), then to other women, then to the apostles, then to many others.
Jesus gave the opportunity of eternal life to believers, and those first believers spread the good news throughout all the known world in just a few years. Women were given a freedom and respect that they never had before, and men were told that they had to love their wives the same way they that loved their own bodies. This totally changed the relationship of men and women.
If Jesus had not come, Gentiles (all non-Jews) would not have known of the way to Heaven--which is through belief and acceptance of Jesus Christ. The pagan religions would have continued in greater force than they already have, with rampant sexual immorality and even human sacrifice. (We still have a lot of sexual immorality, of course, but it would have been worse absent the effect of Jesus on His people.)
Life on earth would be hopeless if Jesus had not come.

The same as it is now. Man has always and will always look for a type of Savior. If not Jesus, it would be somebody else whether he be real or not. Man for the most the part with the knowledge that death is the end of it all.

The mentality of mankind would be totally different and the effect it would have would be immense - even the fashion would be different, since with the coming of Christ, women dressed in a proper fashion and it developed. There would have been no crusades, the Romans would have probably had a completely different religious base. The world would probably remain pagans and... Oh, gosh. Do I need to continue?

Another way to ask that question is whether or not the heathens are right on this one...and sadly, I think they are. No amount of pointy-hatted, sword-wielding twitninnies are going to permanently sanctify this world and banish 'evil'...maybe in their own minds, but that's kind of the Dumbo thing, there...
What if jesus was a stoned-out hippie before it got trendy? LOL

Given that there never really has been any concrete or scientifically valid evidence to prove that Jesus existed, one can only assume that the world would be pretty much the way it is now.

Probably the same because Jesus didn't change who we are or how we will change our surroundings.
Jesus came to die for our sins to make a way for us to get out of this sin. Basically he gave us a choice of where we will go when we die.....but we will still die. We didn't have a choice before.

The intercontinental Catholic (horse-powered) telecom, and the resulting attrocities called "the crusades" would not have united western Europe in global domination. The European empires would not now exist, and neither would the USA. Incas and Apaches might have stood more of a chance.

Jesus didn't do much if you read history accurately. it was the roman empire that spread his ideas, and made many changes to them too. so it wouldn't be any difference since it was the Romans that were responsible for both Christian and Islam. basically they did it to maintain control over their lands and keep the roman influence on the world.
