From a report I just heard on ESPN. someone with the last name of Brown (don't remember the first name) was mentioned. He was an assistant that has been with the team for a long time.

Don't know. They'll probably promote an assistant, as it'll be too tough to try to find someone at this date.

Sad story. Heart goes out to the Walker family, and to the rest of the people at Northwestern. Guy was a class act and had put Northwestern on a path towards continual success. This will be a big setback for their program.

Whoa, that's tough news. Thanks for the update. Here's the link to Yahoo! Sports's news story on the unfortunate event:

I agree with Dun Dun that the Offensive Coordinator Garrick McGee is a logical choice. He would be able to maintain Walker's game plan and already has the mentality of Walker's system.

I hear Rick Neuheisel is available....just kidding.

Sorry to hear about Randy, thats a really big loss to the college football world... If you ask me my guess would be offensive cordinator Garrick McGee, he was just promoted to that position not to long ago... they'll probably promote him to head coach...
