Soon I will be writing a dissertation whose working title would be something like WOMEN IN COMICS. I as a man don't want to write crappy things. I want to write in such a way that when a woman reads my dissertation she would say: that is all truth.

I don't want her to tell me-- you sexist, you chauvinist etc.

My dissertation needs to be full of respect and just has to do justice to women.

Therefore, I need to employ kinda woman's look to what I'm writing.
Women and girls-- your help would be great.

Thanks anyway.

My honest intentions concluded with the long zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

You need to look deep inside the soul of a woman and what she means to a man. You need to feel what she feels, think the way she thinks and understand why she does the things she does.

Try interviewing a bunch of women for insight. What exactly are you looking for?

There are women in comics? Do you mean like Superwoman or women that actually write the comics?

I think if you're trying to praise women for being in comics you probably won't sound sexist or anything. Compare them to other men and show how they are as great or greater. Show the history of women in comics and how they have developed. Or pick one woman in particular and praise her and show comparisons between the development of comics of her time and the current time.

Well, I assume you are talking about Wonder Woman etc. I would suggest that you start by doing a comparision between a female character and a male character that are similar (i.e. similar abilities) and find the differences in story line, appearance, popularity etc. Do that with a few characters and then from there, offer your theories (using specific examples) on gender impact in comics.

Think of these kinds of things, their strengths, intelligence, capabilities, these are all combined with the nurturing nature of a women when you look at most of these characters, they tend to show a little more caring of the victims.

I suggest that the way to learn what women think is to spend time with women! Make some girlfriends, take them out for margaritas and just talk to them. If they don't feel like your motives are "bed based" then you will get real answers from them. Good luck with your endeavor!

Truth is women in comics are all created by men anyway so they are not good representations of women. The characters are based on mens ideal fantasy women who are in olympic shape, are horny sluts, allways wear the most revealing clothing etc etc.

If you want to please women, all you need to do is write 200 pages of praises and flatteries toward women. That would do the trick.
