First of all DO NOT stop taking your antibiotics, diverticulitis is NO JOKE. You may not have a tumor, YET, it could be that the polyps on your colon have reversed and you could be breeding some major infection in your colon. If your colon would happen to rupture and you are not an the antibiotics it could cost you your life, because the infection would get into your stomach area.
If your blood work came back good you are still safe so don't temp fate. I know it's kinda scary, but caught early enough you doctor can help up appropriately. You may have to have part of your colon removed and that isn't as bad as it sounds. You will be up and around in a couple of weeks and you'll never miss the little bit of colon that has to go. If you don't do exactly what your doctor says you could end up with a colostomy bag for the rest of your life or worse, dead.
Take care of your health, you are young and this wll be behind you in no time.
Good Luck

My in user-friendly terms indications have been LLQ soreness and a few chills. Had a CT interior the emergency room, which confirmed the diverticulitis. 10 days of antibiotics, some days of applesauce/jello/poultry soup stuff. you are going to desire a colonoscopy, to confirm this is not the "super C". Then they are going to tell you to DRINK loads of WATER and dodge corn-on-cob, popcorn, nuts, and seeds, and take Metamucil or that type of factor on a daily basis. (i attempted Metamucil cookies "wafers" and that they are easily incredibly good). good success!

Don't stop your antibiotics! Sounds like you need to see a gastroenterologist and get an endoscopy done or an MRI which gives a better picture than a CT
