First of all, you should see a doctor. This way you can know what is really wrong with you. By coincidence, many people find out things that are wrong with them, and they get the help that they need. You are too important for a guessing game here. I have been around in this life for a while. I've tried many remedies. The doctor is where I'm headed first. Then, if need be, I will seek alternative medicine. Both have their value. I spend no more than $6.00, to purchase peppermint powder. It is not candy and is intensely strong. It is actually made from the peppermint plant which is quite therapeutic. I use it when my stomach is upset, either straight out of the packet, or in a warm drink. If you are not allergic to peppermint, you will have positive results. The packet lasts for a year or more. What a terrific and wholesome choice. I go to a health store called Bonnie Sante in the Hyde Park neighborhood, which is here in Chicago, Illinois. If you have a Whole Foods Store where you live, they would probably also have this product. If you are experiencing a general upset of stomach or bowel, try it and it should give you positive results. Again, let me say that, a doctor's advice is preferred always. He may find that you are allergic to some things, even though they are natural and generally helpful to most people. "The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation." Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Above all things, you must remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31.

Gatorade isn't good for diarrhea. Pedialyte even for adults is the best way to go for diarrhea and vomiting. Gatorade does not contain electrolytes it just contains carbohydrates. A doctor could prescribe finergan which is an anti-nausea and dirahhea pill. It is a quick fix and lasts a while in the fridge or whereever. Immodium AD also works. If you don't get well, maybe this is a sign you weren't meant to go to that party.

By now, you are either on your way to the doc, or you're on the way or at the party, or you're resting. I hope that it's the first or the third, no party. Well, ione the star's answer I think was the best, with the one after that, --Put nothing in your system, lie down and suck ice chips-- I paraphrase, the second best. So, chill out, friend. Hope you're feeling better. Did anyone mention, drink plenty of fluids later to rehydrate? No coffee nor tea; water is the best.

don't be stupid and go to the party, if you get the urge there how would you enjoy it? It would be just embarrasing if you hog the bathroom.
ANyway, just make sure that you're not getting dehydrated. Remember, for any loss that you have (episode of diarrhea or vomiting) you should replace it. they're not really advising gatorade due to its sugar content which might promote further diarrhea (osmotic diarrhea).
If you have fever or any signs of infection, it's best to go to a doctor, you might need antibiotics.
If it's just something you ate, your body is a wonderful thing, its intuitive, its trying to get the toxins out.
Just relax and rest and be sure to eat or hydrate.
It's also advisable not to fill up of dairy products, fatty foods, etc

Every one is different. I would use pepto first but have had great results all my life with Coke Classic to settle stomach. If you got some kind of bug - why take it to the party and give it to others?

Unfortunately if you can't keep anything down at all the only thing to do is take sips of water to keep hydrated and rest, your body is ridding itself of the virus. If you get an elevated fever or get dehydrated you should seek medical attention, they may be able to give you a suppository to help.

These other answers are ridiculous. The BRAT diet: Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Tea. It'll stop you right up. Eat nothing else.
Immodium works too. Pepto works, but makes it worse first by speeding up peristalsis.
(More diarrhea)
