I'm not British, but a soldier who works with my husband was such an idioty that he asked an Englishman, while he was in London, why they didn't celebrate the 4th of July! Talk about a freaking idiot! If I were that Englishman, I'd have slapped the soldier upside his head!

Most of the British never even realize it is US Independence Day. What do you think about on Eid?

We don't really care much one way or the other, to be honest. The War of Independence is ancient history to us.

They probably dont care now....it was soooooooooo long since we declared our Independance, and Independance day. And besides, they have their own holidays and i dont think we care about it too much. (no offense to british people)

well i work for a company that started in England and on Independence day, we're off and they're not. I guess they'd be a bit upset about it in that regards.

It was so long ago, it means nothing, we are more concerned with the usual human stuff, how we are gonna pay the rent etc.
