this is not a difficult problem, judging that there is nothing underneath the surface causing the bump,you can use a tamper and try and tamp it out; you may have to use a little heat to soften the aspault to work it or the worst is you have to grind it down even

I'm not sure what you are calling asphalt, that's what we make our roads out of (macadam) Is that like linoleum in the usa? If so, you can poke a tiny pinhole in the bump then place a heavy weight on it to flatten it.
