That would be something...
Someone paying somebody to listen to their lies and then expect some kind of therapy to "cure" them...
interesting.

I've never lied to my therapists.

Why pay to go to therapy and waste everyone's time and money, if I'm going to lie? They can't help me unless I am honest.

One thing I *do* do however is test my therapist in terms of being safe. Many things come out quickly, but I wait until I know it's a good therapist who listens, who will still respect and care about me, and will not force me to do or see things a certain way, before I tell them my darkest feelings and problems.

(But that's not abnormal: It's what we do in EVERY relationship.)

Anyway, if the therapist is not someone I will not be able to trust with everything eventually, I'd rather go find another one.

It's usually the people forced to go to therapy (or feel like they cannot find another therapist) that end up lying.

My mom did.I was young. My mom didnt like to go out much. She only did to attend this appt that they court ordered her to go to so she can keep custody of the kids.
So, I was sitting in on an session, with my coloring book, and the lady asked my mom, so did you go out this week, and my mom said yes, and then the lady said "where" and my mom named all these places she went to and I just looked up at my mom and wanted to say "the only place you went to is the bathroom, why are you lying?" I asked my mom later why she lied and she said she had to say something to keep them off her back, and she would go out in her own due time. I told her it was wrong and how could they help her if she wasnt h onest and my mom just said "your too young to understand"

I have not. If you do not trust your psychologist or are afraid they will tell someone then lies emerge.

All the time, because--ironically--one of my biggest problems is inability to trust and confide in other people and regardless of how good my therapist is, I just cannot let down that wall.

Yes because I was embarrassed and I didn't want him to judge me. I think I shouldn't have though because I it didn't allow me the full benefits of therapy.

I do it all the time. I don't think he would be able to handle the truth. Beside I do it to see if he listens. Which he doesn't.

Yes coz I was annoyed by what looked like a stupid talk for me.
