That's quite a tough question, it is hard to be on your own in London, though it is easy to be alone, if you know what I mean, perhaps a bus ride outside of london a little, there are lot's of parks and some quite large, over East Ham way you have Wanstead which is 14 or 18 hundred acres of some such size, that is a lovely place to take a walk, and be on your own, the only worry is, is it safe to be on your own, presumably you mean a quiet place.
Watch the safety aspect of it that's my advice

Docks in Canary Wharf is ok. But why not take the DLR a little further. Get off at Island Gardens. Walk to the riverside park beside the [Greenwich] foot tunnel. They even have dinky little cafe. The Cutty Sark is across the river. the place is magic

Try Regent's park, in particular the part to the rear of London Zoo. There's a nice bench not too far away from the old Wolf enclosure. Film buffs out there will recognise this as the bench sat on by Richard E Grant and Paul McGann in 'Withnail and I'. Anyway, its a nice little corner of London.

Any of the parks are lovely, but they can be crowded with tourists. No so quiet, but very reflective, I like standing on one of the bridges (esp Albert Bridge) and just watching the water. However, the best London stressbuster is definitely to get out of it - which is why I am heading off to Hampshire for the w/e!

London ?... How about Buckingham Palace ?. Hehehe.. I'm just joking.. Actually it depends on your personal interest. If I really want to be alone, I'll burry myself with a good book inside my chamber while enjoying my favourite musics. Some chocolates will help.

British Library square is not bad. Not many people, pleasant surroundings places to sit, good rendezvous near mainline stations.
