My soon to be wife and I have booked a 3 month honeymoon in Malaysia. However, we have no idea where to travel apart from Langkawi, Penang and places in KL. Can any one give me some advices where else that could be interesting? Also I want to know what hotel should we stay. All advice would be gratefully received.

The Palace Beach and Spa Hotel in Selangor is amazing. Selangor is an interesting place, too, definitely worth visiting. You can get mor einformation on these sites about Selangor and Hotel descriptions.

Choose the Datai in Langkawi and the Grand Plaza Parkroyal in Penang. I had my honeymoon at the Grand Plaza, it was beautiful and has a good location.

Theses are beach places. If you want more beach, go to Tioman Island- its very quiet and secluded tho'.

If you are the sort who loves museums and antiques, you may want to make a trip to Malacca- most Malacca hotels are Ok. You may want to try the Legacy Hotel/ Renaissance.

Sabah is a good place for all nature loving people.

You may want to go to Cherating too... not much to do there though as you cannot do more than watch the sea from afar (its the south china sea and don't attempt to even get in... the current would suddenly push you off).

In KL, you can do a lot of shopping at the Mid Valley Mega Mall, KLCC, 1 Utama and Bukit Bintang Areas. You can also visit the Petaling Street Market- good bargains (but you gotta bargain).

If you like highland resorts, visit Genting - where you can Gamble, cameeroon highlands- more for its farms and scenery.

3 months is a very long time... to spend you can go almost everywhere, but enjoy Penang... its great... its beach, city, island all in one.

ENjoy and congrats.

Kuching: and Malacca.
These cities are compact and you can walk to most interesting
places.
From Kuching you can also visit national parks like Bako

In Kuching, I stay Hilton.
