I did a pregnancy test last night and in the not pregnant window there was a very dark line and then a line came up in the pregnant window, This line was clear to see but was not as dark as the line in the not pregnant window. On the box it said if there were lines in both of the boxes then im pregnant. Do you think i am or not as i thought the line would go as dark as the other.

The lines do not have to be the same colour. The fact that there is a line in there at all means the pregnancy hormone has been detected. So I would have to say, yes, you are pregnant. Do another test to be doubly certain, then go and see your doctor. He or she can help you make a decision as to what you want to do. If you were trying to get pregnant or are pleased about it, then congratulations! If you're not so happy, talk it over with your boyfriend/partner and work out together what you're going to do. I wish you all the luck in the world with this.

The home pregnancy thing is always good but if it came up with both lines, doesn't matter how dark or light that most likely means you are pregnant.
If you think that you are pregnant and you have had a positive test get into see a doctor and take care of yourself and the baby.

sounds like you are definatly pregnant. the line to show the pregnancy can be really faint that you can just see it. it just means the test has picked up the hormone level but obviously you are not that far along or the line would have been a lot darker. if still in doubt do another test. hope this helps

Yes, I think so. The same thing happened to me, and I wasn't sure what it meant. But I waited a couple of weeks and then took another test. It was definitely postive. I think you just probably aren't very far along at all, so you don't have as much of the pregnancy hormone as you will in a few days... or it could just be that some of the tests don't show results as clearly as others.

Take another test to make sure but if there was a line in each box (and the instructions don't mention any difference in colour) then I would think that you are pregnant.

i thin you really need to buy another test just to be sure! and definitely visit your doctor ASAP!! tho if the box states that 2 lines represents pregnancy, (no matter how faint these lines may be) then u may well be pregnant! i hope you get the result your hoping for! good luck!

You're definitely pregnant. The test has a strip in it which contains a certain chemical that turns blue only if you're pregnant (or in certain cases where you're taking fertility drugs). The shade of blue will vary from woman to woman - so don't worry and start celebrating.

Your defo preg! The second line was not as dark on my preg test either with my daughter and the doc said its cause the urine isnt as strong as it goes through the test pad soaking up.

Personally it sounds like you are, but the way to make sure for definite is to go to a doctors or hospital and get urself checked out so that your not just relying on a stick that mite b wrong.
