I don't mean unique, I mean the kind of name that makes you wonder what kind of joke the parents are pulling with that kid. Ever heard the most awful name, what was it?

Tequila. I came across this one while searching for a foster child to adopt - pretty much says it all, don'tcha think?

And I just remembered a couple more my mother told me about a long time ago. One was a girl named Neveria because she was the youngest of 8 but the only girl. Her mother decided once she had a girl she would never get pregnant again.

Now, this next one, I'm not really sure how true it is because I really think people would be sure of things like this before making a decision. It was a girl named Female (pronounce it as if it were an Italian name). Again it was someone who my mother worked with and they wanted to give their child an English name but didn't know any. So when the hospital staff asked them for a name for the birth certificate they said that the one the hospital gave her was pretty enough.

That would have to be Kal-el...Nicholas Cage names his son that...that was Superman's real name when he lived on Krypton. I mean, c'mon, can you imagine!? This kid is already destined for problems since he is the child of a celebrity, his dad has to go and make it worse by giving him a messed up name?! I see therapy in that kid's future for sure.

Many years ago, my friends mother was a Home Ec teacher in Vermont, she had twin girls in her class, their names were...the upper case is for emphasis on the the name was said : 'GoNORrhea' and 'SyPHILlis'.

She was appalled at this, she stuttered and stammered in class when she saw those names.

I would think that this would be considered child abuse.

One a bit more amusing and not sure if it is true, I heard that the inventor or the Lear jet named his daughter Chanda.

I watched the wierdest celebrity kids names on E!
Robert Rodriguez has his kids name Racer and some other names that will scare any nanny away.
Also one of the Jackson brothers has his daughter name Jermajesty. That's just odd...

Another odd name I've heard was "Happy". He's my friend and everytime I think of his name, I was thinking about the seven dwarves.

My exhusband worked with a lady who named her kids Oranjello and Orangeaide (Or-an-ji-day). She got the idea from looking at boxes of orange jello and orange aide at the grocery store. She was going to name the next one Grapejello. LOL
