I myself - and my experience with my friends - (I am over 40) is that most women like to be taken out for dinner.

For me - McDonalds does count as taking someone out for dinner - so you do not have to spent a fortune.

Anyway a girl that has good manners will always ask about this - because she will want to be sure that she is dressed correctly.

A man can appear in jeans almost anywhere but women have always had more dressingstyles and so if they are the kind of women that are sensitive and well mannered they will always ask how they should dress.

They are not supposed to ask where the date goes - that is impolite.

Make sure if it is a date - this means that you want to get to know the girl better - or you need to go somewhere - (for instance a company dinner or a prom) and just need someone because you are not in a relationship.

In the latter case - instruct your date very well on how she should dress and behave.

Uh, Veronica is weird. McDonalds?? She has no respect for herself. I agree, it doesn't have to be expensive, but don't take your date on McDonalds. And yes, I agree that if you're doing something in particular that you should let her know what attire may be suited best for the occasion, but you never tell her how to behave. She should know already and if she doesn't then you know you shouldn't be dating her.

Sorry, to actually answer your question: miniature golf is always fun and casual. Or bowling or the park. Amusement parks are fun too!

Well, if it's the first time and you need to know more about this person, I consider the park where you can walk, sit and chat, and maybe play around. Other places will keep you occupied to know the other person. After that, any place is good.
