They have terrible pitching right now, but pretty good hitting. Can they straighten out their bullpen before it's too late?

I really hope so.

I'd like to think they would, but they won't even come close. Blame it on corporate baseball. The idiots at Time-Warner that own the team are too cheap to give John Schuerholz a blank check to go out and sign some pitchers or trade for some. I wish Ted Turner would buy the team back - at least he wasn't afraid to spend money. If the Braves can't win it - and they won't-ANYBODY BUT THE METS!!!!!

There is no possible way for the Braves to win the NL East Division title this year. They are now 14.5 games out of first, and on top of that. THEY HAVE NO PITCHING! THe braves of last year and the 90's had starting pitching. Tim Hudson is their best opitcher and he's 6-7 with a 4.27 ERA. THe Mets are too far ahead and they can go the rest of the season blind-folded and still win the East

Unfortunately, the Braves run is over. Huge Braves fan, but you have to be realistic about the season and the team. The pitching isn't good enough to support the inconsistancy of the young hitters. I'd love to see the streak last forever, but they're done. They're just playing to develope young players this year. Hopefully, they'll improve the pitching staff by next year and compete again.

Great Question. Yes. Watch out Mets the Braves will find a way to jump back. By August I predict they will only be 6 games back and in September they will take over first. Hang in there!

Sorry, the Mets won the division in late April. So much for #15.

I have learned over the past 13 seasons to NEVER count them out. They are much better than their record. The Yankees had a tough time with them this week. Its only a matter of time before that team gets hot. It may not be this season though.

Not a snowballs chance in hell. Call it the Mazzone factor, call it bad luck, not catching a break, whatever. Stick a fork in 'em, cuz they're done. Karma comes calling. Maybe they used up a century's worth of luck in a decade and a half, who cares as long as I don't have to hear that moronic tomahawk chop EVER again!!!

No way the Mets are way to good this year and their pitching can't be fixed by the trading deadline.
