There is no objective answer to this, since some may think one place is the most mysterious and others think somewhere else is more mysterious. However, I can think of an answer that a lot of people could agree upon. Stonehenge in England.

Archaeological evidence indicates this circular arrangement of massive stones and surrounding ditch was created over a period of at least 2000 years. Yet these stones, which were erected around 2500 to 2000 B.C. predating the invention of the wheel, are so heavy that scientists are not certain how they were brought to this location and put into place. Some people have expressed the belief that extraterrestrials had some involvement with its construction.

Not only are scientist unclear about HOW it was built, they also don't know WHY. Some believe it may have been a place of pagan ritual. Others think it may have had to do with charting the longest and shortest days of the year. No one knows for certain, though. And so it remains a mystery!

The Cosmos in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Things are very strange there. Balls roll uphill, you can stand on the wall. It's quite odd and it makes you crazy wondering how it all happens.
