I work in an army surplus shop. We supply water purification tabs to anyone desperate or mad enough to drink from a stream or whatever. The only ingredient listed on the box is 'active ingredient: Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate'. The inactive ingredients aren't listed so I assume that the rest of the tablet is made of chalk.

im pretty sure that it has a high composition of iodine. in the military they often use iodine capsuls to purify water for drinking. it tastes horrible cuz its mostly iodine but im assuming that the water purification tablets also have a high iodine compostition.
