Tips should be outlawed. Soliciting tips or giving tips should be declared illegal. It makes the people who dont give tips, look like fools to be exploited by the persons. The pizza delivery boys are supposed to bepaid by the company for their work.

here is a good list of tipping guidelines:

1. you are rich in a rich neighborhood at least $5.00 or 15%, whichever is more.

2. If you ordered over $100.00, at least $10.00 tip.

3. If you live more than 10 miles away, at least $5.00

4. If the drive to your house is 30 minutes away, pay the amount that i lost by delivering your order instead of the 3 I could have taken to regular deliveries.

5. If you are a broke student, tip $3.00, or trade me with various objects or chemicals (beer) to $6.00

6. If you are a broke female student, hmm, we can work something out (never for male students, too much of a loss potential)

7. If your dog tries to bite me, If I have to step in something nasty, or anything else involving a dog and me with heavy packages, tip more.

8. If you are from the house next door, you have to tip at least $2.00 because you are a lazy bastard.

9. If I am supposed to deliver to your house in the worst ghetto, the back door, at 3:00 a.m., and bring change for a hundred, $15.00 or more - my gun costs money, and Niagara drivers don't get paid to risk our lives.

10. If you are a regular person, for a regular delivery - $3-5.00.

just remember, we are all sorts of people; writers, teachers, students, military, ex-cons; and we are all out there trying to make ends meet a little better.

I used to work in a pizza place. The pizza guy made about 5.75 an hour, which is way more than someone should be making with the prospect of tips. (Waitresses make 2.12-2.25 an hour.) I usually don't tip them very much, maybe two dollars or so. I'll devulge more if they actually have a personality. I don't like zombies delivering my pizza.

I wait to see how long my order takes sometimes it takes so long you end up eating something else before it arrives then the tip may not be very much 2 or 3 $ unless they are polite about being so late there are exceptions if they are rude i give a dollar but I always give something it may not be the deliver persons fault for the delay it could have been the cooks fault or if they have to call you 4x's to find your house when they have been there many times that irritates me

Between $1-$5 depending on weather (Wisconsin...sleet, snow, tornado, hail, and record highs all in the same week) , if they are polite, and just how bad I didn't want to go to the grocery store!! I always try to tip well, but if it's bad service I will give $1.

I will say that after ordering a few times since moving here....they now will deliver within 20 minutes of my call. I like to think that it's from our nice tips.

I always tip $5, which is probably "too much" (my order is always around $19) but I believe this helps ensure that the delivery guys and gals are always friendly and fast! (and I never worry that they might be putting boogers on my pizza because I'm a bad tipper).

Sometimes I tip $5 regardless if I'm feeling good. Otherwise I tip $2 to $3. I remember what it's like.
