I want to know whether it is better to have the hot / cold weather during the time of pregnancy / giving birth / taking care of a new born.
Personal experience please.

Springtime is the best time to give birth in my opinion. Lets the baby thrive during the lovely summer months and helps mum to feel good too when the weather is good. Great for drying all that extra washing too.

You do know that a normal couple without any issues takes on average about six months to get pregnant, right? That aside, it depends on you what you preffer, you might want to be in your second trimester during summer so that you can spend it at a pool and not to worry about your body image and then when the next spring comes around, the kid is old enough for both of you to actually enjoy it (which is sometimes hard to do with a newborn). Or you want to give birth in the spring so that you can go out right away, although you are not supposed to put sunscreen on an infant under six months, so don't plan for long walks. Fall is a good time to have a baby too, it's still nice outside and by the time summer is here, she will be able to do lots of things and you can enjoy parks and playgrounds together, but third semester during the summer is not exactly a thrill. As I said, what sounds good to you.

Well, I've only had one pregnancy but this is how it was for me. I got pg in October and didn't need maternity clothes until March. And I did not have to worry about zippering up a heavy winter jacket. My son was born at the beginning of June - right before the weather got hot and humid.

I got pregnant in the end of March and had my son the first of December. It was good. You are going to be inside anyway because of the yucky cold weather and what better way to enjoy your new baby, when you have all the time in the world. Plus you are more pregnant in the cooler months.

I got pregnant in about march (in indiana) and had my son in the middle of the winter. I liked it since he was so little at the time and didnt need to leave much. By may/june when it was warm he was old enough to go play in the grass and stuff like that. I was pregnant duiring the summer but not big till fall and winter so it wasnt to bad. Depends on where you live i guess.

Personal experience? My November birth was the best. For the child, I think the March birth was the best because it wasnt so cold and did not have to be bundled up so much.

I got pregnant in May and delivered my baby girl in Feb. and that was great! I have a baby that was born in Dec. and another one that was born in Oct. and now I am waiting on one thats due in Sept. Well, my Oct. baby was hot hot hot, my Dec. baby was fine except it was freezing outside and taking him out in the cold wasn't easy and I am NOT LOOKING forward to being 8 months pregnant the whole month of Aug. lol........ So I would recommend getting pregnant in May. It was great!

Lots of women will tell you it isn't nice to be really preggo during the summer months. I also found nursing a newborn to be unpleasantly hot during the summer. Of course, I didn't have the greatest A/C back then.

You're trying to do this "according to plan". 10 years from now you'll realize that nothing you do with raising kids goes "according to plan". I have to commend you, though, for being thoughtful. You could be like the last question I dealt with.
That being said, it doesn't really matter much. If you don't have air conditioning, though, you might not want to be 8 months pregnant in August. That's pretty miserable.

Try to conceive in the hotter months so that you are not huge and hot. That should give you a spring baby and the weather is perfect.
