Logitech is the only brand I use. They have a lot of styles to fit any need. I use both a trackball and an optical mouse on the same computer because each has there advatages. Trackballs are stationary but takes a little practice to use if you have never used one before and the optical mouse never needs cleaning and can be placed on almost any surface. Both are very precise as far as moving the pointer around the screen and the buttons are programable which lets you use the mouse buttons in ways that will suit specific needs or functions depending on what applications you use most. Also they rarely ever have problems and will last a long time(I have used one of my trackballs for 7 years and still works perfectly)

Dynex makes a Wireless Optical Mouse for $15.99 at Best Buy. (DX-WOM100) It ships with 2 AA rechargeable batteries. I couldn't find my recharger so buy 2 regular AA batteries. The transmitter plugs into your USB and the mouse works up to 30 feet. No wires and no more dirty trackballs. It has 5 programmable buttons. I love it as I click on the left side button to go back a page on browser and click the right side button to go forward.

I suggest you a Logitech optical mouse. I have used many different brands/models/systems and choose this brand. It is most safe, most comfortable for me.

I am developer and designer, I place my hand over a mouse in the morning and take it out in the evening. You can believe me :)

If you want to spend more than $10, I suggest the logitech trackball marble (optical).
Once you get used to a trackball, you'll never go back to a regular mouse again.
No more mouse pad or malfunctions due to dirt etc.
very accurate, doesn't need "roaming" room.

I use Logitech cause it has been around for many many years. Some brand name don't stand up behide there product. It nice to know of a product that has been around for years. Thats what I know. I have had other brands and have more troubles trying to find a company who repairs them and alot of times they are no longer in business

I would recommend Logitech or Microsoft. These are the best because they dont cheat you and the mouse is of good quality and you also get a 1 year warranty.

They are all pretty much the same. One with an optical sensor is better of course.
