How much money does someone really need , money which has been obtained from some of the people that really need the help.
If the billionaires got together imagine all the goodness that could come of it! For the entire planet! Pay it forward!!!!!!!!!!!

This question was grossly misunderstood.

I know Bill and Melinda Gates donates very much of thier money.
It is a matter of more billionaires helping not with a meer drop in the bucket but till it counts like everyone else does.

Public shaming, public frowning at those who do not donate or give back, publicizing those who do and not extolling greed or wealth as much!
Let's start one person at a time

Do you have any idea of how much Gates donates? Not only does he donate many thousands of computers to African schoolchildren, the Bill and Melinda Trust was set up to support research into the less-sexy diseases. Everyone wants to donate to the cure for cancer or AIDS as a publicity thing, Bill looks to those less known but no less deadly. He does it not for the public recognition, but for the knowledge he can help.

Still, your point is valid. Other super-rich don't do jack good with their money. Money should be used, either in buying useful things or simply given to worthy causes, not hoarded as an instrument of power. We've seen hoarding of power in the past, and the results are never pretty. I'm not gonna hold my breath waiting for these billionares to give money out of the goodness of their hearts, since there is no such thing, but I'd happily force them to give up far more than they are. They really don't need to be so rich; one can live very comfortably on only a couple million dollars, and that would be incentive enough to be innovative and entrepreneurial. Beyond that, and you'll get diamond-encrusted laptops just because you can.

Er . . . look at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and how much money they contribute to charities.

Even Warren Buffett is donating most of his money to that Foundation.

Instead of depending on charities though, people should work for their own. Too many rely on handouts.

He donates because he has a lot of money is not the same thing when you give the only valuable thing you have. Because they have a lot ,they understand that this is not happiness. They prefer to give to the people instead of government and get tax deductions(convenience). So they don't know what to do with their money so they prefer to donate for something helpful in this world . That is the good thing. That it!!!

Many billionaires and millionaires already do give back to the people, they just dont reach out and provide for individuals, they give to established charities or start their own foundations. They do all this for TAX purposes.

Instead of eyeing his money, why dont you learn from his life and build your own. Then you can start your own charity as a self example to others. Good luck!
