If your using Windows XP or 2000, you can use the hosts file to block access.

- Navigate to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
- Find and double click the hosts file
- In the Open with dialog select notepad and click OK
- On a blank line enter something similar to the following

127.0.0.1 domaintobeblocked.com

Save and close the file.

The hosts file is used to resolve domain names to IP addresses. Your computer will first try to resolve a domain name by consulting the hosts file; it will then use a DNS server if the hosts file doesn't have what it's looking for. By pointing the domain to be blocked to 127.0.0.1 you are pointing it to your local computer. Since your local computer isn't the host of the web site, the user will not be able to access the site.

Hope this helps!

Are you using explorer?

At the top tool bar you would click on Tools
Then on Internet Options

That will pop up a window.
You choose the tab labeled security.

You will see a red button to the right. Click on it and you can add sites.....

Good luck!

Also you can edit your host file and have it route to any web site you would like.
