Ive got a fair number of songs on my pod that Ive 'acquired' from Limewire and just recently my pods making awful screechy / interference type noises when I play them!

I thought it was my headphones, but it happens when the pods in the speaker dock at home too.

Anyone else had this problem? Is it something that can be fixed, or do I need to replace all the downloaded tunes (about 50 of them) with CD copies? Some of the songs I just cant track down on CD so Im hoping its something repairable!

Any feedback much appreciated. Thanks! B

First of all, you shouldnt have been using limewire(use frostwire it's way better) secondly, your ipod may have a problem with it or how the songs got copied to it, first just delete all of the songs out of iTunes, but put the songs in a file. Plug in your ipod so the songs are taken off it, then move the songs back into iTunes and then copy them back to your ipod and everythign should work perfectly, if not, then get service from apple.(USE FROSTWIRE!!!)

if you are downloading current/popular music you will find more and more of these tracks have been sabotaged - some people say by the record companies, or it may just be people trying to be funny.

try downloading an older tune and see what it's like. Also don't forget you can always buy the music legally download or not - it will always be top quality.

Also, does it happen on stuff you have ripped onto your computer or just downloads? If its just downloads then obv. your iPod is not at fault.
