First of all-you seem to have missed the point Jesus was making there. He means that if you are attacked, do not retaliate. Forgive the attacker and vengence is in the hands of the Lord.
.
Secondly- All of the warring you have noted were not done in the name of God. There are many secularists in the western world. Many world leaders operate without the consult of the Lord. There have been few truely, wholely Christian socities throughout history. It is more so up to the individual to hold a personal relationship with the Lord and seek His guidance.

If someone is a true Christian they do forgive someone who does them wrong and they sure dont relish violence.. But consider this, what did Jesus do to the money lenders that were desecrating the temple? He took a rod and drove them out! Now the evil Muslim Fundamentalists in Afghanistan and Iraq did desecrate the temple of our freedom when they attacked us and killed innocent men, women and children so we can drive them out with a rod (a.k.a our armed forces). Now I dont think anyone in their right mind would consider Hitler a Christian.

First of all Christians have no corner on violence. People of every religion are violent, it's part of human nature. Second of all you cannot blame Christianity for the actions of people who are nominally Christians but do not live out the faith. A lot of people are called Christian because they were baptized as such as children or have some cultural connection to Christianity, but they do not make an effort to live out the faith, nor have they made a conscious committment to it. This is true of other religions as well. So some Christians are violent because, frankly, they have no committment to living out their Christian faith.

Basically, because a lot of people want to be "CALLED" christians, but they don't want to have to deal with what Christ taught. Christ said...I leave with you a new commandment, that you should love one another as I have loved you.... This was to make our earthly lives more bearable, however, greed (one of satan's most favorite tools) turns us away from this commandment, we (U.S.as a society) are terrified that someone else is going to have (or appear to have) more than us. This not only turns us from Christ, but also makes it much easier for our government to be polluted by big business, they really know how to push the right buttons to get us turn against one another making it sooooo easy to turn us into slaves.

The words of Jesus are that of love spoken for all humanity. Christians could coin it as their own but they sure dont follow it as a rule.

All religion is a joke, whether it be Muslim or Christian. No one is expected to allow themselves to die based on a book. Muslims massacre and butcher in the name of God, no other religion that I know of does this crap. Do you kill something Allah made in his image in the name of Him? Do you intend to insult Him this way? You too need to see the three fingers pointing back at you when you point your finger at someone else.

Actually that verse is about defiance.

And, Christains don't enjoy violence, you anti-Christian bigot. Would you haved prefered us not to fight wars such as Hitler. You'd be speaking German now if it wasn't for the US standing up and joining the fight.
