screws stripped out , can i fill it back up thru the primary chain inspection cover

Yes, just use a funnel and add the correct amount of fluid for your model!
With my sportster 1992 their was a screw above the drain plug that you removed and filled the primary until the fluid stopped draining out of the top hole, the primary was then considered filled.
Put overflow screw back in and ride.

not really. i mean you could, but you are suposed to set the fluid level with the bike on level ground, the bike standing upright, and fill the primary till the fluid is just below the opening for the derby cover.

it will be hard to do if you cant get the derby cover off..

did the head of the screw strip??? if so go down tosears, they sell a great screw extractor set for stripped fasteners.

Um, my recommendation would be to leave it dry, get it taken to a dealership, and have them get those screws out for you, and do the job right. You have a new bike, what are you messing with it for? It's under warranty, let THEM fix it all for you until the warranty goes out...they may give you static about it as it is for having messed with it. One thing mechanics hate is cleaning up after shade-tree 'experts'....if ya haven't got the right tools for the job, leave it be...
