i think the children would suffer in a situation like that, not being raised in a normal family. other kids would pick on them. and parent teacher conferences would be so embarassing for them.

It's sick, what a joke. Poor kids, there goes another generation of innocence having to deal with a problem not meant by nature but given to us by society.

Why on earth not? Gay people who are mature, accepting and loving are just as capable of raising and caring for kids as anyone else. Plus if a child has suffered abuse or may be questioning his/her own sexuality who better to offer an empathetic ear than someone who has already been through it.
Speaking as a gay man who has been out almost 20 years I can say that coming to terms with my sexuality and my being was at once the most difficult but ultimately most wonderful challenge of my life. It has given me the strength to sustain me through many difficult passages in my life. Although I personally don't have the desire to raise children, I have counseled many people, both young and old, through difficulties in their lives because I know one can survive anything if the will is there to do so.
One final note. One does not choose to be "homosexual" one chooses to be honest with oneself and not live a life based on a falsehood in order to please the larger society.
OK having just read your additional comments here are my responces.
1. children will pick on other children for anything, an alternate homelife would be no different. Plus when I was a child I remember other children being particularly vicous with a child in a foster home of "normal" parents.
2. A child in a foster home environment by definition doesn't have a "normal" family life for some particular reason already. How many "normal" family simply volunteer to have children plased in foster care do you know?
3. So the kid doesn't do the father daughter dance or the father of one of the women goes in their stead or the fathers (plural) both go and the little girl gets extra special treeatment because she has two daddies.
4. There have been numerous psychological studies that point to the fact that children raised in "alternate" families, including same sex parents, blended families, extended families, and single parent families are no more likely to have problems with development than those raised in "normal" families. In fact in many instances because the adults in parenting roles as generally more content with their lives the children are often better adjusted socially than those from "normal" families

God Bless the Arkansas Supreme Court. These children are in FOSTER CARE. That means that the heterosexual parents you seem to think are so wonderful have done a LOUSY JOB OF BEING PARENTS. How stupid would you have to be to think your argument has any merit?
Studies have shown that children raised by gay couples are as "normal" as children raised in traditional homes. These studies looked at the kids grades, social lives, levels of depression, etc. There was no real difference.
So, it looks like the only real problem these kids would face would be having to deal with ignorant bigots like you.
*****MORON ALERT******
In answer to your dim-witted response....We know that children raised in "normal" houses, can be poor, ignored, abused and killed. It happens all the time. I know a girl whose father molested her. By your "logic", that means we can conclude that heterosexual households are a lousy environment in which to raise a kid. We also know that children can be happy being raised in a house with two gay parents. They do specials all this all the time. But since these shows are on educational television, I'm sure you've never seen a minute of one.
Every kid raised in a gay household won't be happy. Just like every kid raised in a heteroxesual household won't be happy. That's called life. But life's a whole hell of look easier when you don't have to deal with judgemental bigots like yourself.

God intended man & woman to marry, and then have children.... period. Its a totally un-natural thing otherwise, and I think it would be damaging, as well as embarassing for the children. Esp. when they see the majority, with a mom & dad, as opposed to a mom & mom, etc.... They would put 2 & 2 together, and see the wrong of it. The other children with a mom & dad, would def see the wrong in it, and then that child will become a target for teasing.

You do realize those judges were presented with all research and known facts on this issue and chose to support gay foster parents based on facts? Try it yourself.
