No...if you really believe a FICTION book you really need to take a look at yourself. It's just a fiction book. Look at the front of the book. It says all of this is fictional. So, just don't believe it.

It is a movie based on a book and no one knows exactly what is or isn't true about Jesus anyway, The bible is a book written by men too and is basically man's interpretation of things. So the Di Vince Code might or might not be true - why shouldn't Jesus have married and had children?
It is more the contemporary church that enforces the celibacy as we know it.
You will not change people's mind concerning religion my friend so don't try. Either people will question the book or accept it and that's what books like the Da Vince Code are about. They don't proclaim to be textbooks nor was the movie a documentary.
Do you believe that Superman exists?

Fiction is the key word. It's a story based around historical fact. It's an idea. It's something to think about. The book should in no way convince you to change your religion. The history of religion is violent. The Bible was written by historians. None of us lived through the social strata where Jesus Christ was born. It seems believable that even though Christ was the son of God that he experienced peer pressure as a child. Everyone from every historical period experienced peer pressure. The real issue should be over who gave in to it?

There is probably some truth to it...just like there is some truth to what Jesus did in the Bible. I feel that people ruin Christianity by worrying about those kind of details and they miss the big message. Jesus believed he was dieing for us, and willingly went to the cross, that is saintly and his kindness, love, and understanding is what should be remembered and focused on. That said, Ghandi (not a Christian) peacefully changed the world by depriving his own body of it's Earthly needs for a better future for others, and that too is saintly. Of course Christ was a man, as for the son of God, well... I believe we are all children of his creation, so yeah he was.

I really truly cannot figure out what the big fuss is over this book. I sure wish everyone would keep in mind that it is a NOVEL and, by definition, a novel is fiction...why is everyone so worried about what this fictional story says about Jesus Christ??? It's made up...not true...make believe!!!

If you want to know the truth about Jesus Christ, read the Bible. Start with the Book of John in the new testament.

no, if you read carefully, for the code to be true, Da Vin Ci will have to be 500 years old. it says that he is the head of the society.
not on;y that , Da vinci never hide any code in his work before, and he doesn't likes those kind of things.
next, Dan Brownsaid that it was only a novel, it's a combination of the holy grail and holy cup.
only dan brown knows whether it is true.

Parts of it could be true...no one really knows for sure. I don't understand why Jesus possibly being married and having children is a big deal. It doesn't change what he preached and taught. The message is still the same so who cares if he had a wife.

I think Jesus was a mortal man, & his mum was certainly not impregnated by an act of God.
He might have had kids as the book implies.
I think the bible is a great story written by men.
They have convienced peopel that their is an imaginary man in the sky who watches every move they make, & if their bad he will cast you to a place with fire & brimstone and evil demons....BUT he LOVES YOU

Parts of it are probably true. In the new testament, there are a number of times when Jesus is referred to as "Rabbi". To be a Rabbi during that time period one had to be married and should have also had children. Unmarried men could not be Rabbis.
