Or should I wait for the DVD.

I thought it was an excellent film, but it's also about 45 minutes too long. Unfortunately, those extra 45 minutes don't add anything to the plot line, there's just a lot of scenes that drag on. Also, a few more flashbacks would have been nice, perhaps in the style of Batman Begins. In the end, there's only so much that can be done with a guy that's essentially invincible. The ending is also a bit anti-climactic. I will say this; Brandon Routh did a fantastic job.

if i were you, watch Superman Returns in the moviehouse, then buy a DVD. Some of the scenes may be edited out.

It is kinda like going to a Harlem Globetrotters game. Everyon cheers for the Globetrotters even though you KNOW they are gonna win.
If you have a few bucks to blow, watch it. Same old schtick though. Good guy -bad guy. Bad guy exploits good guy's weakness. Good guy wins. Blah blah blah.
Excellent special effects, though. Hope I didn't spoil the ending. What, did you expect the bad guy to win in a superhero movie? Never!
