Yes, I am.

When others succeed and I don't. I try to overcome it though by all sorts of rationalizations--sour grapes being one of them!

I am jealous at times - when I think that some sort of injustice has taken place. When your child's effort has gone unnoticed and the school favourite gets the attention and praise every time, or in a sibling group where the one child is the obvious favourite - and seems to receive more love.

Fortunately in a male/female relationship no man has treated me in a way that I should feel any jealously - well except for the mother-love type I felt because of my husband's dependence on his mother. No man has ever made me feel jealous of another woman as a sexual rival - I would cope with it 'very' poorly for sure.

I am an only child and when I was younger I was jealous with regards to parents and friends. As I have got older life experience has taught me that life is too short to be jealous. My first girlfriends were attention seekers and I found this difficult to handle. I realised later that to truly love someone be it friend or partner you have to let them go and let natural progression happen. The consequence of doing this personally for me meant I lost a childhood best friend but now realise that we do not have anything in common anymore and were just meeting to catch up and for the sake of it. I let this die a natural death. I trust my partner and feel we share the same opinion, therefore if I want to go out with my friends on my own or vice versa we are both fine about it. There is always that little pang of jealousy that one has gone out without the other but for different reasons I miss her if shes not with me and vice versa which is a nicer jealously. The clue is to let people go if they want to be with you they will naturally be drawn to you if without you!

Mmmm I love this question.

OK, I am not.

Reasons:
1. If there is a reason for jealousy, i.e. unfaithfull-ness, it doesn't help if I am jealous - it helps to pick up my bags and go.
2. If there is no reason for jealousy, it doesn't help to be jealous at all - it just makes the relationship harder.
3. My standards for "unfaithfull-ness" are rather high - i.e., a one-night stand I do not consider "cheating".

All people get jealous at times when someone else has everything they want to have-a job, good salary, status, a girlfriend/boyfriend, attention and so on. It's only natural...

I am a little, only when a girl tries to flirt with my fiancé in front of me, then I just let her know that he's mine by putting my arms around him and such.
