if you have been waking at 1am then you have been sleeping, you should not get up if you wake, that is the worst thing you can do,try going to bed an hour later at night, have a warm relaxing bath and a warm drink of milk, and a lettuce sandwich is meant to act as a sedative as well. But if you wake in the night do not get up try reading a book or listening to the radio,or counting sheep or anything I work in a large establishment and I list all the people I like and those I dont,or put their names in alphabetical order, you will soon be nodding off again

Sometimes we loose sleep when we are suffering from stress. Stress is a reaction your body has to a situation or circumstance.
Instead of worrying about not sleeping use the time to do things around the house or whatever, do not make it an even bigger issue. (try not to lay awake wondering why you are awake) just accept that you are and make the most of that time.
Also eat healthy and exercise regularly it will help you with life in general. what ever is on your mind write about it or talk to someone and if you can sleep during the day when possible as it's important to get sleep for that is when the body naturally nourishes itself and you grow etc. we all need adequate sleep to function clearly. It could be a form of Insomnia (stress related) just accept it and make most of time is all i can suggest, I live it daily mate but it doesn't bother me now I have accepted it.

a million. eat protein interior an hour earlier you flow to mattress. 2. do no longer sleep in the course of the day no remember how complicated that's. 3. Take a lukewarm bath 20 minutes earlier bedtime. As your body cools, you should get drowsy. 4. Have a fan or another type of white noise going. 5. do no longer do something on your bedroom except sleep and sex - no ingesting, television observing, etc. 6. chorus from observing any type of digital media for 2 hours earlier bedtime as that retains your sleep on a shallow element.

Anxiety/depression/stress
Ask your doctor for sonata or ambien for sleep, as well as an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med. And/Or talk to a therapist, get more excercise, quit drinking, have more sex.
Actually, if it's only been a week, wait on the meds and figure out what is stressing you, then fix it.

As I said before, you should really see your doctor. It could be sleep apnia that's waking you up. The affects of sleep depravation are not good. It could lead to depression, weight gain and slowed metabolism as well as heart issues.

Looks to me like your hands fell asleep first. You know what they say, give a monkey a typewriter and eventually it will type The Declaration of Independence.
