Why do you think that most of the employers want to employ FEMALE receptionist?

Females are seen as less aggressive, and more helpful. Of course, this may not always be true, but it is a general belief!

It's difficult for some male receptionist to calm down an irate male customer or even a flustered female customer. When you have a woman with a gentle smile, calming voice and soft ways, it's just seems so wrong to chew her out for your problems either in person or over the phone. Kind of like beating on your friends mother or something like that. So the employer chooses the female over the male.

Recpetion duties very often involve a lot of multi tasking, so I think women are better suited to the job.

But really you need to be askin "why do mainly women apply for receptionist jobs and not men" If no men apply for receptionist jobs in the first place then none can be employed

durrrrr... this world is a male dominated world... what better way to attract customers/clients then to have a woman work for you? either a nerdy one who the boss seems to control or a big boob one to impress clients... its not that hard man... just think about it ;)
