There could be a number of reasons your tired. You might not be getting good sleep. You could have sleep apnea, which means for a few seconds each night you actualy stop breathing. it could be that your stressed. And it also could be your diet.
Try medatating, stretching/yoga, and or writing in a journal before you go to sleep to clear your mind. Also, try to avoid caffine and sugar at least 3 hours before you go to bed, and make sure your room is dark and quiet. But don't make it too quiet. Getting a "soothing" sounds tape might help.
If the problem lasts more then a few weeks i'd talk to my dr. Though I doubt its anything serious, the possibilty is always there. And even if its not something serious it could be something that needs medical attention (ex. stress) and your dr can help you pinpoint the reason, and get rid of it so you can start getting the rest you deserve

When was the last time you saw your family doctor? Does he or she know about this? Feeling sleepy and tired all day after you think you got 8 hours of sleep, can have many causes.
Are you stressed and worried about your family, friends, job or self? Do you feel anxious a lot? Do you toss and turn in bed? When you go to sleep, do you stay asleep or do you have problems staying asleep? Do you know if you snore or not? Many different factors could be the culprit. You need to go to your family doctor and tell him or her all of your symptoms and feelings. Be open and honest with your doctor. Doctors are not mind readers, they depend solely on what their patients tell them in order for the proper diagnosis and treatment.
Make an appointment today. You may have an underlying physical problem you may night be aware of.
Good luck and I hope you feel better!! I hope I was some what helpful.

Its all to do with R.E.M. (no not the band) If you don't get enough r.e.m. sleep the brain cant rest, if it cant rest then its always working over time. Usually there is a reason for this, is every thing alright at home? no problems with a relationship or anything like that? If you think carefully and find the root to the tiredness then you will be able to start felling better, and not as tired all the time.

Not easy to answer, not knowing you or your background.....
Vit B12 supplements are good - they turn your urine fluorescent yellow though, so be aware (nothing harmful, just different color)... Beyond that, try exercising (aerobic like running or brisk walking) 3 times per week for at least 20 minutes each. Also, could be you suffer from sleep apnea - easily checked and fixed through your doc.... Could be chronic fatigue syndrome ("yuppie flu") check this website from the center for disease control - http://www.cdc.gov/cfs/ ...... Also, depression can be extremely exhausting and zaps you of energy...... Hope this helped and good luck :O)

I had the same problem and saw my GP about it and she asked a number of questions.
Do you snore.
Are you stressed
Are you overweight,etc.etc
Did I snore = YES
Stressed = NO
Overweight = NO,etc.etc
She booked me into a sleep study and found out I was waking up 60-80 times a night because I had stopped breathing(SLEEP APNEA\APONEA)

Well, you may have an iron deficiency, because when my sisters iron is low that's what happens to her.
Or it maybe something else. WebMD is a pretty cool site to get health information from.
Its where I get all mine. :)
Good luck !
