Sound like a power supply problem. You may have to get a new power supply, or a new one, whichever is cheaper.

hmm was it hot when i shut off on its own? the mother board could have taken its last breath luckily most likely the data on the computer wil not be harmed though, because that has mothing really to do with the power...so if you have a tech savvy freind or even a repair gu they can get your files for you quickly

helllo first check u'r adaptor it's working properlly or not if it's working pls check tht u'r pluge where u pluge the adaptor if both are ok then remove u'r laptop battery & then turn on it . if now it's not working then pls don't try any other trick contect u'r hardware support or u can call me at -91-9828580414
