Go to a big department store and ask for samples of perfume. Explain what you really like the smell of (musky, sweet, flowery) and they should be able to give you a dozen samples or so to allow you to try what you might like.
I found it the best way to sample new scents and not spend a fortune trying out new things. I also found my favorite perfumes this way!

To find the right perfume requires matching the scent to your natural skin and body smell.
What you should first do is decide on the type of scent that you like - for instance musky, perhaps.
Then get a few samples on spray on your skin.
The crucial thing with trying a perfume is to leave it them for a few minutes to mix with your body oils and scent and only then evaluate how it smells to you.
Otherwise you are overpowered by the initial blast of the perfume and won't know how it will smell after you have worn it for a few hours.

Whichever one blends best with your own personal scent. When you go to try on perfumes, try and make sure that you dont have a smell to you already .Like, use a scentless soap to bathe with that day .Hope that helps..
