If she's shy and not too daring then going out to get her into sexy lingerie isn't going to work - and you have to wonder what her hubby-to-be likes. Have you thought about asking him what he prefers her to wear? Unless they are very VERY reserved then he will already know what underwear she presently owns and wears. Maybe he's happy with that or surely he would have asked her to choose something sexier by now?? My gf just wears ordinary cotton knickers and I don't say a word. When we get to the bedroom it aint her clothes that matter, because she won't be wearing them!

Hi!
I didn't know whether you wanted just shops based in London, but there is a new website called completeseduction.co.uk which may have some ideas. There is some Ann Summers type stuff on there but you may find what you are looking for.
There's a really cute bridal set (the pants have a veil on the back). Other than that Debenhams are pretty good with nice lingerie.
Hope you find what you're looking for!

I get the impression you want to buy her a pressie? Rather than bring her out shopping?? Make sure you get her sizes right, get someone who lives with her to check in the laundry basket (as this is the stuff she wears, the stuff in the drawers may not fit!) Stay away from the cheap end of the market, primark, la sensa, ann summers etc - they are nasty materials and she won't want to wear something that feels nasty. With the exception of the silk slips and cami&french knicker combo in la sensa, which are very good value & in the lighter colours quite bridal. Whatever you get throw in lace top hold-ups. Which she may wear, if she is shy, she will shy away from suspenders, so don't bother. If you have the time figleaves is a good site.
But if you dont think she is into lingerie, go for the SILK slip/nightie. It never fails as a wedding pressie

Hi - Figleaves, Marks and Spencers, Debenhams, even Next (the larger stores) do some lovely, reasonably priced undies.A s your mate's shy, Id go for pretty undies rather than daring ones, pastel pinks / yellows / greens / blues, all very flattering. Have fun! :O)

I highly recommend John Lewis on Oxford Street.
They have a wide range of lingerie and you can get something special for your friend too. They sell bridal lingerie.
Have you thought about getting your friend something else such as jewellry to wear on the day instead as she's so shy?

I'd take her with you and get her to chose if she's shy. It's rather a personal thing. . . .
If you're set on the idea, try La Senza which do a nice range of reasonbly priced stuff, or if your friend is busty, the best place to go for bigger boobs is bravissimo.

She asked for names of lingerie shops people, not your opinions about her friend's underwear!
Okay here are some ideas:
Marks & Spencers
Debenhams
La Senza
Agent Provocateur
Coco de mer (Covent Garden)
She Lingerie (Essex)

if her hubby to be is like me then he is not going to be worrying about what clothes she is wearing. it's not the wrapper he will nbe interested in, it's your friend his new WIFE or what will be. so anything she wears is neither a turn on or turn off although less revealing garments can be sexier than more revealing ones (less revealing clothes leave more for the guy to fantasise over if he still does that. where less clothes leave little or nothing to the imagination. so do your friend a favour and just buy her something safe comparable to what she normally wears. nothing wrong with that.
