Well, even if there were, the moral implications would be something else. You could only travel as far back in time as to the point that the time-machine was actually made, because then perhaps you would change history to the point that the time-machine wouldn't be invented. Then there are the parodoxical elements - if you change history, then you change the possibility of ever being born, and thus erasing your existence, and thus doing, you set history straight at the same time, creating an endless loop of causality. Confusing.

Yes, but we know of no current ways of doing it in our universe. A physicist had to assume that the universe was a spinning cylinder in order to mathematically show that time travel was possible, but the universe is not a humongous rotating cylinder. I can't show you mathematically, because neither you nor i would understand any of the math.
Time travel has been imagined for eons, and I dont believe we are any closer than those eons ago. It's just not mathematically possible, but then again, maybe it doesn't have to be mathematically possible. I for one, certainly hope that time travel is possible, but at the moment, it looks hopeless.

I would think, that if there were, it would only be able to visit places on or before the time it was invented. For example, if it were invented June 30, 2006, it would not be able to visit the 29th.

time exists only in your mind. try this: walk down the street...stop, turn around and go back the way you came. does your watch run backwards? of course not. you can move backwards in space because space has existence. but time has no existence outside of your mind, or as words or numbers on paper. by the same token you cannot go forward in time. so the answer is no.

I doubt it, time is so complicated that. Time is much further ahead of scince that science doesn't have a chance to catch up. I mean to say no.
