Most previouse answers have tried to link ordinary people to the government's policies and actions ... but this doesn't seem to me to be right...
my perception is that here most people are in disagreement with the foreign policy of the adminstration. However iranian people have very bad memories of the US policies towards iran which have apparantly continued to date. This makes some few people to stand with the government against US's policies.. not meaning that they like or attest all of the administrations doings.
On the other hand there is no real democracy in Iran so the rulers are neither really "elected" by people, nor can they be pulled down by people....

I am guessing the Iranian people are alot like us. They have homes, families, kids, grandmas and grandpas. I think they probably want the same things as we do-a safe world for our kids, better education for our kids, safe streets and better roads, less taxes, some good, dirty sex now and again, a cold beer on hot summer afternoons, etc. They seem to have a different idea on how to achieve these goals than we do. I think they have a crazy little monkey dictator for a leader. Did they choose this guy or what?

I think that they have been kept ignorant and brainwashed and maybe even scared into following the Ayatollah and that idiot of a president they have.

I don't have anything against them personally but I really wish they knew more about the US people and didn't see us as a threat or as "infadels"

I really don't think about them at all. I do however have an incredible amount of concern in regards their current leader. He is mentally unstable, and it's going to take a lot of cool heads to deal with the moron.

If you get to know Arabs on a personal level, they are very nice. As a mater of fact, if you enter their homes, better be hungry. it is their pleasure and duty to offer you some really scrumptious food.
