Same as in an ordinary car. Clutch and brakes. Although the car uses an electric shift this merely operates the hydraulics.

probly to act as air shocks to maintain the stability of the car VS using spring shocks. with hydraulic shocks it can probly be more fine tuned and be more consistant for the required stability needed
