Thanks for all the answers so far but as I've said I don't want to delete everything from the drop down menu just the ebay one. Anyone know how to just delete this one address?

If you just want to remove ebay from history then follow these steps.
Goto search and type *ebay*.* in search option for files and folders.
Click on advanced option and select option for Hidden files and folders.
Click on search.. when results are present, you would see some results with Folder icon (same as history icon)
Delete all those ebay history items you might have to do them one by one.
once you have deleted them. Close all your browser (IE) sessions and restart your IE browser.
All ebay history items would have been deleted.
In case you just want it not to appear in drop down list
then you would have to turn off Auto Complete for web address.
but following the steps below for turning it off would make al of the drop down list to disappear as basically drop down list is there due to auto complete feature being on.
Click on tools in IE.
Goto Internet Options.
Goto Content then AutoComplete.
Remove the tick from AutoComplete for Web Address.
This would make ebay website along with others not to appear in the drop down list.
Hope this helps.

actually you cant just pick the sites you want to remove from the dropdown menu. clearing history under internet options clears ALL website history and it does look suspicious when someone else clicks the dropdown menu and finds it empty.
right-clicking an item wont work either.
you could use a different search engine to the default one. go to their webpage and change the settings so it doesn't record visited websites. then only use this new search engine for browsing.
then if someone clicks your dropdown menu they only see the search engine website and not what youve searched using that website.
of course you should still delete cookies because ANY website visited is cookie'd and can be checked. but at least you dont need to 'clear search history' anymore and blank out the entire dropdown menu.
on some websites you can deny cookie access so check that.

Click TOOLS at the top of your page, then INTERNET OPTIONS. next click clear history and that will clear all that drop down menus. It will also stop people clicking history and knowing where you have been! While you are in Options, you could also delete cookies and delete files. Cookies are small files that web sites put on your computer to identify you. They can stay on for up to 3 months. The Delete files option will delete the web pages that you have downloaded to your computer. Every time you look at a page - it is downloaded. So that provides a history of what you have been doing too! if you ever take your computer in for repair - it's a good idea to delete all this stuff and then empty your waste bin on Outlook and Outlook Express and then empty the recycle bin on your desk top!

lol ok how to erase porn huh ;) haha well i guess you can go to Tools, internet options, clear history, click ok, waite then click ok and thats it, if you have the yahoo toolbar click next to the little pencil then click on clear search history, on the main yahoo page put the cursor like at the bottom of the search bar then a list should come out then just hit the delete button. ok im not an expert lol

flow to the right of the internet browser (the position the document and edit tabs are positioned). click on the historic previous tab and decide something alongside the lines of "teach all historic previous". Then, discover the internet sites you want to delete, proper click, and discover some thanks to delete them. that is going to variety from workstation to workstation.
