why societies are not getting rid of 'religion'syndrome, the old, irrelevant practices even in to-days' scientific world? population proliferation in India/Pakistan and all Muslim nations and Africa as a whole? Why UN or Us and all sensible nations ban RELIGIONS?
All over it is felt that by planting trees only all ecology problems are solved! How long we have to depend on Natural petroleum from under the earth? When do we start growing "grasses" yielding petro-components. Our scientists on these jobs do succeed!

Man may be 'wired' to believe in God. At the very least, we are 'wired' to wonder about God. When Man searches for God (and even atheists will search before turning away from Him) he finds religion.

Religion is not the bad thing many make it out to be. The thing is that religion itself is largely undefined giving room for cults to grow which give religion a bad rap. There are very few true Religions. These are those (three or four) revealed by God to Man so that Man might worship Him. The rest are man-made 'religions' where some enlightened soul professes to 'teach' people the truth. Instead of hearing the truth, the congregation will be told what they want to hear while the minister passes around the collection plate. Instead of sprouting wings and a halo, the minister will then fly off in his brand new Learjet (presumably to 'spread the truth that everyone wants to hear' elsewhere)!

St. Jerome wrote in 400 AD, beware of the clergyman who is also a business man.

Its not religion but something else. Religion is used as a mean to achieve that. Western world do not want to lose its dominance by hook and crook.
