OB: Obstetrician - A doctor whose specialization is birthing.
GYN: Gynecologist - A doctor whose specialization is the care of the female reproductive system.

As you can see, the two sciences go together, so those who specialize in one generally specialize in both and that's what the abbreviation represents.
