Thom P you obviously know what you're talking about. I hope we can agree to differ, but probably not until you are 20 years older!

yeah. I like brave politicians too. I think your list has some faults in it, but the idea of brave politicians still sounds nice to me. For what it's worth, here is my list of brave politicians from the current era:

Please tell me your joking...
That list sounds like a roll call of the Worlds Worst, 'cept it hasnt got Blair and Bush on

John Howard - Bush lackey in the pacific, lieks to be seen as his 'Sheriff'. He signed an oil deal with the Indonesian government which has been proclaimed illegal by the UN due to Indonesia not actually owning the oil field they sold off to the Australians.

Koizumi - Devout right winger, militaristic Prime Minister of Japan. Refused to condem the war crimes of Japans Imperial past and continues to portray China in japanese schools as inferior monsters

Le Pen - A nazi of the worst calibre, the world would be a betetr place if men like him just curled up and died. Promised to end all immigration into France, curb civil liberties etc

Musharaf - Dictatorial General who seized power from Pakistans legitimate government during a coup. The man has no morals and continues to occupy parts of Kashmir long designated Indian.
